Hair oil has become an essential part of your daily haircare routine. It’s a popular choice among young women and adults alike. It’s been around for a long time, but has recently gone viral. Hair oil is a useful elixir and remedy for combating dehydration in dry and damaged hair, as well as revitalizing the scalp. It deeply nourishes hair, protecting it and adding elasticity. It adds shine and luminosity to hair. Some hair oils are also heat protectants, making them excellent before styling. They provide hydration and nourishment without leaving a greasy feeling. It’s particularly effective on the ends to protect and strengthen them.

Choosing the right oil is truly important, as there are so many types. The most common ones on the market are argan, coconut, almond, jojoba, and even the very popular linseed. How to use hair oil?

How much oil should I use? Should I use it on dry or wet hair? There are many questions about the correct use of hair oil. An ancient technique is hair oiling, an Ayurvedic technique particularly used in India, an ancient practice passed down from mother to daughter from generation to generation.

From this practice, we learn that hair oil should be used sparingly; a few drops a day are enough. Apply to the lengths of your hair, focusing on the ends. It can be used pre-shampoo as a nourishing pack, but more frequently, it’s used post-shampoo after washing and before styling. It can also be applied to dry hair to combat frizz. Therefore, it’s not necessary to apply too much product because the oil easily penetrates deeply. A few drops a day, then, for nourished, hydrated, and shiny hair!
